Returns policy
You may of course return any items purchased from expecting Baby within 21 days to do this you must request a return code within 7 days of purchase by emailing hello@expectingbaby.co.uk with your postcode and order number. Orders returned without a return code will not be refunded.
Please note that the cost of returning an item will not be refunded.
All products must be returned unopened and unused, with no damage to the packaging and all tags in place. Once inspected, your refund will be swiftly processed. Items returned that have been used will not be refunded and will only be returned to you once the relevant postage has been paid to expecting Baby.
We regret we cannot accept returns on the following items for hygiene reasons, mattresses and feeding products including bottles, breast pumps & soothers etc. We strongly recommend original packaging is kept, as any collections for warranty/maintenance work will be required to be packaged in a suitable and well packed structured box. ââ¬Â¨
Cancelling your order
You have the right to cancel your order with expecting Baby at any time within the consecutive 7 days from the day of delivery. Unfortunately once your order has been processed, we are unable to cancel it and stop delivery but you may still cancel the order by returning the products to us in line with our returns procedure. The cost of returning the items are at your expense.
Order acceptance
Your contract to purchase selected products comes into existence when your order has been accepted by us. Email communication or receipt of an order via expectingbaby.co.uk does not constitute acceptance of an order.
Home delivery
If no one is at home when the courier attempts delivery they may at their discretion attempt delivery to a neighbour in the local vicinity and leave your parcel with them. If you do not want your parcel left with a neighbour please either leave a signed note explaining where the order may be left, the driver will then take your note as authorisation and the goods will be left where you have requested. This however is done at your own risk. Alternatively the courier will leave a calling card and usually attempt re-delivery the following working day. After this you will be required to collect the goods from your local depot. Clear details of this will be on the 'sorry we missed you' card that will be left by your driver. If the delivery address refuse delivery of the goods or if you do not respond to the "sorry we missed you" card left by your driver, your order will be returned to expecting Baby Ltd, we will then wait for you to contact us before we refund you your money minus the return postage cost and a £20 handling fee.
International delivery
For orders outside the UK, please contact us before placing your order for shipping availability and prices. We will endeavor to delivery internationalyl where products are authorised for export by the manufacturer, but will only use authorised expecting Baby couriers.
Inputting the wrong delivery details
Unfortunately if you enter the wrong delivery address and your goods are signed for by another party, expecting Baby cannot be held responsible for any loss you may incur as a result of this error.
Guarantee
Manufacturers guarantees vary, please refer to the documentation with your product for guarantee periods and clauses. Expecting Baby will act as an agent during the manufacturers guarantee period to facilitate any return, free of charge but subject to the following conditions. Your statutory rights are not affected.
The guarantee applies to all items purchased from expecting Baby and is non transferable, it is only available to the original purchaser when accompanied by the original till receipt.
The guarantee applies to the product only and does not cover any loss incurred as a result of a guarantee claim including but not limited to loss of time, earnings or damage to other products. The guarantee applies to manufacturing and material defects only that occur under normal domestic use within the United Kingdom and ROI.
Faults caused outside the manufacturers control are not covered by this guarantee which includes but is not limited to normal wear and tear, misuse, failing to follow the manufacturers user guide or maintenance instructions or using an item other than intended e.g. using a pushchair to carry heavy items. It also excludes inappropriate storage, cleaning, modification or alteration, maintenance, accidental or willful misuse or the use of any buggy board not manufactured by the pushchair manufacturer.
The guarantee does not cover pushchair accessories or parts subject to normal wear and tear including but not limited to rubber tyres/wheels, pneumatic tyres, foam handles or fabric wear. Please note fabric may discolour at different rates depending on the usage i.e. a foot muff stored in darkness will fade slower than a pushchair used in sunlight. All moving parts should be lubricated and maintained regularly
If we find your product is defective within the terms set out above, expecting Baby shall at its discretion repair the product or refurbish to an appropriate standard in keeping with the general condition of the product. We may also replace the product at our discretion if the goods are found defective by the manufacturer. We will replace with the same product if available or similar product if not. This will be our sole obligation. Any repair work undertaken by expecting Baby or its agents will be approved by expecting Baby.
If a claim for a defective product is found not to be caused by faulty materials or manufacturer, expecting Baby reserves the right to refuse to repair the product or charge the customer for the repair up to the amount of £35 to cover parts and manpower.
All products need to be returned in accordance to the returns procedure set out above or may be returned to the shop premises. Loan product may be available, subject to availability for items returned to the shop premises.
Item Descriptions, colours, weights, specifications and sizes
All sizes and weights are approximate and are a guide, expecting Baby reserves the right to alter specifications without prior notice. Colour representations are approximate as the pictures seen on screen or printed are dependent of the settings of your hardware. Expecting Baby accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of colours or shades published.
All names are to be used as guides and not taken literally, e.g. Chicco Cube is actually grey. If in doubt, please email before purchase. Please also be aware that natural materials may also carry natural imperfections including colour and grain. These are not considered manufacturing faults but a characteristic of the material and matching items of a set or accessories may have some variation of shade or colour, this is not to be classed as a manufacturing fault.
Carseat fitting
We strongly recommend visiting expecting Baby to have your car seat fitted for free. This is the only way we will guarantee that it fits your vehicle. However most car seats fit most cars, but please refer to the manufacturers fitting guides found on their websites to ensure compatibility.
Data Protection
To ensure that your credit or debit card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
